This blog is based on a true story.
What about Chris Martin? You anti-UK bastard!!
What about Robert Plant? If the list is entirely subjective than obviously there's no discussion, but any objective assessment of rock and roll ability would have to admit that no one has ever sung a hard rock or white guy blues rock song better than Plant.
Anti-UK? hardly, Yorke is british and Billie Joe sings like he wishes he were. I ask instead, "WHy do you hate america?"
Good call on Robert Plant, but as you can tell from the people on the list, I was only ranking "active" singers.
lets see,
Hynde "I hope the Muslims win"
Armstrong "american idiot"
Yorke "hail to the theif"
Cornell is with tom morello and we all know where Rage stands.
So assuming that this list is mostly political and not musical, I'm just wondering how Karen O made the list. and why you hate america.
speaking of elliot, Elliott Smith? David Byrne? He's not the best technically, but Talking Heads kick ass and he's awesome too.
I don't know his name, and I know he doesn't rank high in most people's minds, but the lead singer for Bad Company had a pretty damn good R&R voice. And then there was Phil Lynott of Thin Lizzy.
