A rare moment of truth from President George Bush:
As he searches for a new strategy for Iraq, Bush has now adopted the formula advanced by his top military adviser to describe the situation. "We're not winning, we're not losing," Bush said in an interview with The Washington Post. This is the first thing Bush has said in a long time that I have agreed with. The terms "winning" and "losing" only have meaning in the context of either meeting or not meeting stated military objectives. Since we have no military goals in Iraq, then it is correct to say that we are neither reaching nor failing to reach those goals.
